Character Creation ~ Guide and Help

So is this the first time you've made a character and you need help and advise doing so? Or maybe your already skilled in the field and want a few extra tips? Well I have to say you've some to the right man. This guide will walk you through exactly what moderators and administrators look for in an application! And not just from this site.

So once you've read the rules you can get started! You will also notice that there is no area for rank, it is important not to add any information regarding ascertained rank as you will be awarded rank on merit of how good your application is.

Back to Basics//

Name: There are millions of combinations but which one is right for you? I always liked to translate particular traits into japanese and sometimes this can create very interesting or entertaining combinations if you mix it up a little bit. If that prospect interests you the go here. Whilst Japanese names are always good, so are other names, for example the Arrancar may have more Spanish orientated names. Whilst were on the subject of names, there will be no sudden new relatives of any canon character, especially Kurosaki Ichigo

Aliases: Many people have nicknames, take Yoruichi, Goddess of Flash as an example. Much of the time nicknames are a representation of personality. And sometimes affectionate given by close friends or partners, your not limited to one!

Age: By now I'm sure you noticed that age and appearance seem entirely different entities in the bleach universe. It's always helpful to specify both! No age is too high (except before the dawn of man). However if you 3000 years old its more likely that your appearance will also be older.

Gender: This doesn't necessarily need to be male or female, were open to all suggestions in this catagory, within reason though, and nothing to explict if you feel the need to specify.

Affiliation: Who commands you? The Gotei 13, Kido Corps, Aizen, The vizard or yourself maybe? This section is relatively simple, yourself effectively means rogue. You could also have your own ideals here, maybe a promise to someone or you have your own idea of how the world should be run.

Appearance//

Height & Weight: Relatively self explanatory however be careful as this could have profound effects on your character. Larger built people may not be able to move as fast as smaller people.

Hair & Eye Colour: This is simple and really requires no other explanation other than any and all colours are allowed, remember kids, glowing green hair his cool... If your going for that radioactive look.

Description: Now we get down to the important stuff, as much description as possible is requested here. Right down to the grain of sand stuck under the nail of your little finger. Here we want as much information as your brain can churn out, detail clothing, facial hair, hair style and accessories and much much more. Pictures are allowed as long as they are accompanied by a description as well. You may request an image in the graphics section, find one online or we are always very happy to you your own drawn character.

On top of this we also like to see you giving us information on alternative appearance such as a gigai.

Dropping one or two is acceptable but fewer than 8 in total is not permitted. They can be anything you want, at least 1 sentenct each. You may add as many as you wish.

Personality: Here everything else is discussed, your attitude in battle, your presence around your house ect. You can also continue to build on your previous Likes and Dislikes.

Unfortunately this is where this guide slows its functioning to a more general perspective. The first a gender for discussion is abilities and techniques, which are two entirely different things, first off abilities are the whole shebang, take Hitsugaya for example, he can manipulate ice however he wants, but his techniques are far more advanced extensions of this ability such as Hyōten Hyakkasō, whereby he causes snow to fall and if a hundred petals blossom on a person, then their life is over. Your ability and techniques need to be described in detail giving their appearance, range, name ect.

Biography//

Again what should be included will depend on your race... This is where the main body of your creation is, it should be by far the longest and most detailed piece in your work and the rank of your character will be decided from quality and quantity of your entire work but this is where you can really pick up some merit.

And so we approach the end of this short guide and have our final piece of work to complete, again this counts for a large portion of your ranking and should be composed of an average post as your character.
